| How we chose the date

Well, at the start of this I had no idea when I wanted to be married. It didn't matter to me, I just wanted to be married. We both decided to leave enough time to plan the wedding and get a place situated for us to move into together. I'm a traditionalist and didn't want us to live together until we're married.
The first date we thought would be about right is a Saturday in December that isn't too close to Christmas. That leaves me December 2, December 9, and December 16. Well, I didn't realize it much before but December is a busy month! The church doesn't do weddings in December, and the reception site is all booked for December with Corperate Christmas parties.
So we reluctantly changed the date to February 24, 2007. It stayed this date for a little bit until the reception site said that December 9 was available! Hope at last! I told her to hold that date for us and we scheduled an appointment to go over the contract and put down the deposit.
A few days later, the reception site called me and told me that that date wasn't really available. My heart sank. We were back to February 24, 2007.
Just before the appointment to put down the deposit, Jason showed me his calculations and made it all better. I can't think of a more perfect date than February 24, 2007.
Jason's side of the story :
I was visited in a dream by Hera, the goddess of love and marriage. We were standing beside a river of numbers that were swiftly flowing by. They were organized into columns of repeating numbers, such as 826778267782677… Hera said to me, “You must search these dates for your lucky number.”

“My lucky number!” I exclaimed.
“There is more,” she said. “The number must also be meaningful for the one you love!”
“What you ask is impossible!” I screamed. “You say I must find my lucky number, but these numbers go on forever, and my lucky number has only 3 digits! How on earth will I find it, much less find a way to make it meaningful to Brianna?
“I will guide you.”
She then revealed to me a formula for determining the perfect date.
First, you must multiply the first two numbers together, then the last two numbers. The products are then added together. For 2.24.7, you get (2*2)+(4*7) = 32.
Next, we must remember the never ending streams of numbers I saw. 2.24.7 becomes 2247224722472247... stretching to infinity. We must add the first x digits of this number, where x is the number we found above: 32.
2+ 2+ 4+ 7+ 2+ 2+ 4+ 7+ 2+ 2+ 4+ 7+ 2+ 2+ 4+ 7+ 2+ 2+ 4+ 7+ 2+ 2+ 4+ 7+ 2+ 2+ 4+ 7+ 2+ 2+ 4+ 7+ 2+ 2
=454
Amazing!
Next, we must ensure that the date is meaningful for Brianna. To accomplish this, the first step is to convert each number to binary.
2=10 24=11000 7=111
We then concatenate them together and get 1011000111. When converted back to decimal, the new number is 711, as in July 11, Brianna’s birthday!
So clearly, the only rational day for us to wed is February 24, 2007!
